Congratulations are in order for Gogglebox’s Josh Tapper, who has got himself a job in the Cabinet Office at 10 Downing Street! The 20 year old, who stars alongside his mum Nikki, dad Jonathan and sister Amy on the Channel 4 show, has been offered a civil service apprenticeship at one of London’s most famous addresses. This does mean that he’ll be taking a break from the show, but Channel 4 has said he can come back whenever he likes. GETTY A spokesperson for the show said, “Channel 4 will, of course, keep the door open for him but it’s a really exciting opportunity for him. “It’s a much coveted job. Josh has already started having meetings within No10.” While Josh takes time out to go hang out with Theresa May (do you reckon they have a staff room?), the rest of the Tappers will continue to star on the show. “The Tappers are one of the show’s favourite families and Channel 4 really wanted them to carry on, even without Josh. “The family are very proud of him.” CHANNEL 4 The type of apprenticeship scheme Josh has landed will last up to two years, and the roles can vary. But Josh will mostly be offering administrative support. Apprentices also shadow ministers, and have the opportunity to apply for government jobs at the end of their stint. So maybe we’ll see Josh taking the job of PM in the not-so-distant future?
